Jean Talon

Born in 1626 and died in France in 1694. He fulfilled two
mandates as intendant of New-France, from 1665 to 1668 and from 1670 to
1672. He ensured that his administration was in absolute harmony with that
of Jean-Baptiste Colbert, whose protégé he was and of Louis
XIV who held him in high regard. |
